Privacy.

Last updated October 2026.

Zlarp Spoof has no accounts, no ads and no analytics. Your real and simulated locations stay on your phone. These are the only things the app sends anywhere, and why.

License check

To confirm your key, the app sends zlarp:

  • your license key and the app name (locationspoofer)
  • a random ID created when you install the app, so one key can be used on two devices
  • your phone model, so you can tell your devices apart on your zlarp key page
  • a one-time random value that makes each answer unique

This happens when you activate, every few hours, and when you open the app after a while. zlarp’s own privacy policy covers what it does with this.

Maps, search and routes

On iPhone, the map, search and road routes come from Apple Maps. On Android:

  • map tiles come from OpenFreeMap, satellite imagery from Esri
  • what you type in search, and the map area you’re looking at, goes to Photon (komoot) to find places
  • the start and end points of a Walk, Cycle or Drive trip go to routing.openstreetmap.de to get a road route
  • addresses for places you tap come from Android’s built-in geocoder

Stored on your phone

Your license key, settings and saved places are stored on the phone only (in the Keychain on iPhone). Removing the app removes them.
